Cleaning your white swim parka
We love tingting's swim parka because it's white! It's bound to get dirty, but you can relax because the fabric can be spot cleaned easily with a wet towel. Moreover, it's safe to clean it in the washing machine.
Spot cleaning the sPARKA
To see how easy it is to wipe off dirt / mud, we purposely laid down on a wet lawn to track mud on the swim parka, then tried to spot clean it with a wet cotton towel.
We're happy to report that 99% of mud came off of the fabric. The 1% of mud remaining on the parka was trapped in the seam between the cuff and the sleeve. We proceeded to scrubbing it under running water for less than a minute. That effectively washed away the trapped mud.
If the stain involves grease, try adding a bit of soap to the wet towel, lather it up, and scrub the stain with the soapy wet cloth.
We wore the swim parka out for a bike ride and tracked some dirt on the back side (dirt + bike chain lube). We used a wet soapy towel to clean the stains, and we're happy to report that all the marks came off.
Machine Washing the sPARKA
When you have time for laundry, simply put the swim parka in the machine to wash. It can be cleaned as frequently as you wish.
To keep it looking white and fresh, machine wash it in cold water with similar colors. If you wash it with different colors and/or in hot water, expect to see color transfers between your dark colored clothes and your beautiful white swim parka.
Turn the swim parka inside out and fully close the zipper when you wash and dry it. Incomplete closure of the zipper may lead to damage of the zipper, or damage of other clothing / non-clothing items.
The zipper pull tab may be caught and broken in the drum holes of the machine, so the use of a laundry net is recommended.
After washing, the swim parka will be wet and heavy because the fleece lining is highly absorbent. Simply hang it to dry.
By following these instructions, you can prolong the life of your beautiful sPARKA.
