Our apparel development process happened in three stages.
- Stage One involved reading and learning from the industry veterans.
- Stage Two involved sketching, sourcing, testing every component, and sewing mock ups.
- Stage Three involved partnering with a local manufacturer to perfect the fit, make prototypes, and test them.
Researching and sourcing
We invested a lot of time in researching and finding the right fabrics for our swim parka. As a designer and manufacturer, we have a duty to create responsibly. It means that we take care of the people and our planet. We read peer-reviewed publications and books on textile science, dyes, chemical treatments, etc. With that information, we examined fabric options with a critical mind.
We tested natural and technical fabrics from local and oversea suppliers...
